Vacation continued

After St. George we headed to San Diego to stay with Matt and Andrea for a couple of days. It was great! We went to Sea World on Monday with Andrea and Chloe. The best part was by far having lunch with Shamu. Our table was at the same height as the open water and we got a private show from the whales. The food and the show were outstanding.
We took off to Legoland on Tuesday and had the time of our lives. I think Legoland has become our favorite off all the theme parks,
better than Disney!!

Vacation with Kristi and Blake

So we started our vacation with Kristi and Blake this past weekend and so far it's been awesome. I flew with them to Vegas where we spent a few hours checking out the sties on the strip. Kristi and Kib went on a virtual roller coaster. She would have done all of the roller coasters in Vegas if she was just a little taller. She's fearless. Once we hit the highlights, including the M&M store we headed up to St. George for a couple of days with our friends the Nicholas Family. The highlight for me was the beautiful hike (despite the 105 degree weather) that we took through Bryce Canyon to a river bed that all the kids played in.

Big Boy Bed

Oh yeah, it's official, Zane is 100% in a big boy bed. 9 days and going strong. Yippee!!! That means in August when we get home from our travels we can move Ryder into Zane's room. Double Yippee!!

Zane's 2nd Birthday

Unfortunately I have no photos available for this post, but as soon as I can get them off my camera I will add them. We celebrated Zane's 2nd birthday this weekend while we were in WA. It was a hoot. We went had Kib's kids, Kristi and Blake for the first time with our whole family and it was awesome. They loved their little brothers and were so excited to celebrate his birthday with him. We ended up with a bunch of family and friends here. I am not sure that Zane completely understood the whole birthday idea, but he is definitely old enough to get the whole present idea. He liked the Thomas the Train figurine on the top of his cake more than the cake itself. It was so cute.
We really had a great weekend. We enjoyed a night out at my girlfriend, Kelly's, wedding, an afternoon on Bainbridge island, again, thanks to Kelly. A wonderful party for Zane, and visiting with friends and family. I hung behind this week with Ryder and Kib headed home with Zane. Friday I meet Kristi and Blake at the airport and fly with them to vegas where we will begin our 9 day vacation with all 4 kids. This should be a real blast.

3 days in bed!!!

I am the happiest mommy in the world. tonight marks the third night in a row that Zane is sleeping in his big boy bed. Tonight he went down without a fight. we found the secret to keeping him in his room. We reversed the door knob covers so that he can't get out. When we left his room he went to the door and tried to get out. When he couldn't, he just crawled into his bed and went to sleep. This is a huge milestone. Let's hope we can keep it going throughout all of our trips over the next few weeks.
So Zane has started doing the cutest thing, if you ask him if he is being good or bad, he tells you. If he is doing something he knows he isn't supposed to be doing he says "bad" it is the funniest thing.

Children's Museum

So while Kib was away last weekend I took the kids to the new Children's museum. It was their first official weekend open. Zane had so much fun that we stayed for about 3 hours. Which in toddler time is forever. I decided to get a family membership. We went back on Tuesday, and then again yesterday with Daddy. This place is so much fun. They only have about half of the exhibits open and we have barely touched upon those exhibits. By the time we get bored with what's there, the new exhibits should be open. The best part is the 3 and under room. No shoes, and lots of fun stuff. There is even a little section for Ryder! I really love this place. It's so nice to have a place to go in the summer to have fun and get out of the heat. We are in the process of gearing up for a very long, and exciting month. We leave Wednesday for WA and will only be home for 4 days over the next 4 weeks!!! Yay!!! We have weddings and vacations and babies being born. It's going to be crazy, but so much fun. I'll try to keep this updated with photos. It's amazing how much fun the boys are these days. Ryder is using rolling as a means to get around, it's so cute. And Zane is memorizing songs, counting to 10, singing his ABC's. Every day when he wakes up he starts singing "school today, school today." He loves his preschool and has learned so much. I love preschool for the couple of hours it gives me with just Ryder. I couldn't be more proud of my two Reed Boys.
