My new daycare!!

I am just kidding, but really, this is was so fun. We were cleaning out the cars from Kib and Zane's camping trip this weekend, and Ryder was getting into everything. So, he decided to help clean out the trunk. It was too cute. He loved it in there, and Zane thought it was pretty cool as well. I tell you, these kids are so much fun. Who knew the trunk could be so interesting, and don't worry, kib and I were out there the whole time.

Up, up and away!

It has been quite some time since I have written anything substantial in my blog. The past few weeks Ryder has kept us busy with a case of RSV and most recently, a horrible allergic reaction to, well, everything, thanks to the antibiotics. This weekend, however, we seem to be back to normal. Ryder is up to so much these days. As you can see, he is now climbing the stairs. This is a scary progression for mommies. It's a long way down the stairs, and it's inevitable that Ryder is going to take a few spills. Actually, he already has, fortunatly he has bounced back both times.

Mr. Incredible

Life through the eyes of a 2.5 year old is priceless. Today I watched the inauguration of the 44th president of the United States. I felt this was important as someday my children will ask me where I was when the first African American was sworn into office. Zane was not at all thrilled with the idea of watching the inauguration, apparently Handy Manny is far more interesting. I decided I would try to explain to him what I was watching and why. I told Zane that O'Bama, was becoming our new president and that he was now the most powerful man in the entire world, he didn't get it. Then I told him that the president was more powerful than spiderman, batman, and the incredible Hulk. Zane looked at me and said "Oh, he's Mr. Incredible." That is life through the eyes of my 2.5 year old.

we have a tooth!

Here is Ryder's first photo of his first tooth. Not a great picture, but at least you can see it. As of yesterday, he cut tooth number 2. Two teeth in 10 days, poor kid. Did I mention that he has RSV, yeah, not fun. Kib and I have only been getting about three hours of inconsistant sleep for the past week. THe poor kid is miserable. That being sad, last night he actually slept for about 6 hours in one stretch. Hallelujah.

More, More.

Ryder started signing this week, all thanks to Kib. To me, it's just as wonderful as hearing his first word. It's so nice to know what he wants, or doesn't want. We are also working on food, milk, water, finished. With Kib's persistence, it won't be long before Ryder can tell us just about everything. I love this age, and everything that it encompasses.
